SCREENING LICENSE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

THE APOCALYPSE OF ST. JOHN

These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and use of screening licenses for the motion picture The Apocalypse of St. John (the “Film”), granted by Caravel Films to the purchaser, organizer, host, or institution acquiring the license (the “Organizer”).

By purchasing a screening license, the Organizer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

1. Nature of the License

The license granted provides the Organizer with a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for a single screening event of the Film, solely on the date, time, location, and under the conditions provided by the Organizer at the time of the license request or subsequently approved by Caravel Films.

The license authorizes one in-person screening of the Film only.

The purchase of a license does not constitute a transfer or assignment of copyright, distribution rights, reproduction rights, public performance rights beyond the authorized screening, sublicensing rights, or any other rights beyond the limited permission expressly granted herein.

2. Scope of the License

The license authorizes exclusively:

  • one screening of the Film

  • at the location indicated by the Organizer

  • on the approved date and time

  • for an audience size consistent with the purchased license tier

  • using the private streaming link provided by Caravel Films

Unless expressly authorized in writing by Caravel Films, the license does not authorize:

  • additional screenings

  • repeated showings

  • use of the link on different dates

  • screenings at locations other than those approved

  • reproduction of the Film in whole or in part

  • broadcast on television, cable, satellite, digital platforms, or social media

  • livestreaming or rebroadcasting

  • downloading, copying, duplicating, recording, or redistributing the Film

  • sublicensing or transferring the license to third parties

  • any commercial exploitation other than what is expressly permitted by the purchased license

3. License Types and Audience Size

Licenses are offered according to estimated audience ranges. The Organizer must select and purchase the license corresponding to a good faith, honest, and reasonable estimate of the expected attendance.

Attendance is monitored under an honor system. Caravel Films relies on the Organizer’s declaration regarding the size of the event. However, the Organizer agrees that:

  • they will calculate attendance in good faith

  • they will purchase the appropriate license based on that estimate

  • if they later determine the attendance will likely exceed the purchased license tier, they must immediately contact info@caravelfilms.com to request a license upgrade

  • upgrading the license requires payment of the applicable price difference before the event

  • exceeding the audience limit without upgrading the license is not permitted

If actual attendance is lower than the purchased license tier:

  • no full or partial refunds will be issued

  • no partial credit will be granted

  • no retroactive reclassification to a lower license tier is allowed

4. Ticketed Events and Fundraising

Unless otherwise specified by Caravel Films in the license description, the Organizer may host an event that includes ticket sales, admission fees, donations, or fundraising activities, provided that the event remains within the scope of the purchased license.

Caravel Films does not participate in the organization, administration, accounting, auditing, or financial management of the Organizer’s event.

Caravel Films bears no responsibility for ticket sales, donations, revenue, or financial outcomes associated with the Organizer’s event.

All legal, tax, regulatory, and administrative obligations related to the event are the sole responsibility of the Organizer.

5. Payment and Confirmation

A license request is considered submitted once the Organizer has:

  • completed the required request form, and

  • paid the full license fee.

The license will be considered confirmed once payment has been successfully received.

Caravel Films reserves the right to withhold delivery of the screening link until payment has been verified and confirmed.

6. Delivery of the Screening Link
